Our Family Practice
Dr. Laura Tesoriero has been practicing medicine since 1994.
She received her bachelors degree from Hunter College in Manhattan and attended Medical school at The Medical College of Pennsylvania (now Drexel University School of Medicine) in Philadelphia. In 1996 she graduated from her residency program at Memorial Hospital of Burlington County (now Virtua Memorial) and went into practice with her husband Dr. Michael Cascarina. She is currently a core faculty member of the Hackensack Meridian Health Ocean Medical Center Family Medicine Residency Program.
Dr. Prema Eapen did her undergraduate work at Youngstown State University before moving on to medical school at Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine. She completed her residency training at North Shore University Hospital in Glenn Cove, New York in 1999. Shortly, thereafter, she moved to New Jersey with her husband and children. Dr. Eapen has been with Our Family Practice since 2002. She is currently a core faculty member of the Hackensack Meridian Health Ocean Medical Center Family Medicine Residency Program.
Michelle McNicholas NP has lived and worked locally her entire life. She received her undergraduate degree from Rider University, then studied nursing at Brookdale Community College becoming a Registered Nurse in 1991. After successfully raising 4 children with her husband Paul, she returned to school to attain her Advanced Practice Nurse degree from Monmouth University in 2016. Shortly thereafter, Michelle came to work with Our Family Practice. Currently she also teaches at her alma mater Brookdale Community College, holding the title of adjunct nursing instructor.
Dr. Charles Rutkowski was born and raised in Bayonne, NJ where he graduated from St. Peter's Preparatory School. He earned his Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Washington College in Chestertown, Maryland where he also continued his passion for lacrosse and ice hockey. He earned his Masters Degree in Psychology from Monmouth University before deciding to pursue his passion for helping others at the Medical University of the Americas in Nevis, earning his MD. When Charles is not working, he enjoys spending time with his family in Monmouth County, where he now resides.
Dr. Michael Cascarina graduated from Villanova University in 1987 with a degree in biology. He later attended medical school at The Medical College of Pennsylvania (now Drexel University School of Medicine) in Philadelphia where he met his wife, Dr. Laura Tesoriero. He and Dr. Tesoriero then went on to residency at Memorial Hospital of Burlington County (now Virtua Memorial) before settling down in Brick, NJ in 1996. He is currently a core faculty member of the Hackensack Meridian Health Ocean Medical Center Family Medicine Residency Program.
Dr. Joshua Wheatley, Dr. Saju Samuel, Dr. Mohammed Nagaria, Dr Jean Verlus, Dr Rubab Farooq, and Dr. Mohamed Gadalla all are members of the Hackensack Meridian Ocean Medical Center Family Practice Residency Program. These young physicians are at the cutting edge of medical training and are privy to "latest and best" health care information and treatments.
